Dr. Brian Campbell, PT, Founder

Dr. Campbell is a graduate of Upstate Medical University where he obtained his Doctorate of Physical Therapy. He completed his  undergraduate degree in exercise physiology including research on recovery with endurance athletes.  He has certifications in SFMA, FMS, IASTM, functional dry needling and performance dry needling™ techniques. Dr. Campbell works with a variety of athletes including former NFL players, high and collegiate athletes, professional watersport athletes, and weekend warriors. He enjoys working with athletes in all facets of training from injury rehabilitation to return to training to intra or post-competition recovery work.

As an athlete himself, Dr. Campbell still enjoys competitions in local crossfit and wakeboard competitions and plays in a wooden bat baseball summer league. He enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter either outdoors or on the water.

Alexis Boyd, RD, LDN

Alexis is our licensed dietitian nutritionist. She is originally from Minnesota and went to college at Northwest Missouri State University where she studied Nutrition & Dietetics and competed as a track and field athlete. She then completed her dietetic internship at the Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.

Her love for sports nutrition sparked when she personally saw the direct correlation between how she fueled her body and the positive results she experienced on the track. Upon finishing her track career, she started doing Crossfit – which requires just as much, if not more, attention toward nourishing the body as it does exercising and recovering properly. Now, she likes sharing her personal experiences accompanied by her clinical and sports nutrition knowledge to lead others toward a more healthy and balanced life. Alexis also enjoys working with athletes, recreational to elite, to enhance their strength and performance. In her spare time, she likes spending time with her fiancé and dog, adventuring outdoors, or visiting her family and friends back home.

At Xcel Movement and Performance, we are confident that we provide the most personable experience that is specific to YOUR needs. We’re so committed to helping you with achieving your goals that if you’re not satisfied with our services, we will refund your money 100%.
