How to Determine between Overuse and "Normal Use"
Last week we talked about some great ways to avoid overuse injuries for your developing athletes. However one of the big questions we got from that was "How do I know if it is an overuse injury vs just general muscle soreness?" This is a great question! In this week's TTWS we provide a few different things to look at to help determine the difference.
- Where is the pain located? Muscle belly or muscle insertion point?
- When do you experience the pain or achiness?
- Try assess your waking heart rate to monitor your recovery level!
